Authorisation for 20 active substances in plant protection products extended
These include the following organic active ingredients: Azadirachtin, Bupirimate, Dithianon, Dodine, Fluometuron, Hexythiazox, Isoxaben, Prosulfuron, Quinmerac, Sintofen, Tau-Fluvalinate, Tebufenozide, and Tembotrione.

With Regulation (EU) 2024/1022, which came into force on 29 April 2024 and will apply from 1 July 2024, the revision of the maximum quantities was completed.

PFAS in fruit and vegetables?
Reports about residues of PFAS pesticides (poly- and perfluorinated alkyl substances) in fresh fruit and vegetables have been circulating in the media. The Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) therefore felt compelled to issue a public statement.
